Dr. Peter Walker is widely acknowledged as one of the foremost experts on the Holy Land; and his book In the Steps of Jesus (2006; revised 2020) has come to be recognized as the authoritative guide for Christian visitors. He has also written a sequel In the Steps of Saint Paul (2008: revised 2022) which hopefully will be an useful travel companion for this cruise around the Aegean.

Peter was Professor of Biblical Studies at Trinity School for Ministry, near Pittsburgh, from 2012 to 2017; and is now back in the UK, as an ordained minister within the Church of England. He will be travelling with his wife, Georgie: they have two children and two grandchildren.
